As part of the European Erasmus+ project, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence, artificial vision and augmented reality by attending the 'AugmentED: empowering learning with AR and AI tool' course at the Grand Center in Zagreb (Croatia) from 26 February to 1 March 2024. This innovative course was organized by OPAL Teacher Training.
Together with other teachers from other member states of the European Union I faced an ambitious training course, focused on the main applications of artificial intelligence for teaching and school organisation. The course offered training in a foreign language, enriched by stimulating practical exercises accompanied by group activities which gave rise to moments of socialization and discussion. I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of emerging technologies and their applications in the educational context, opening the doors to new teaching approaches and innovative methodologies.
A distinctive element of this Erasmus+ experience was the chance to explore the lively city of Zagreb, immersing myself in its culture and history. The two guided tours allowed participants to share ideas and perspectives, further enriching the training context. The strategies learned during this Erasmus+ project will not remain confined to the mere use of the course: artificial intelligence is not just a technology, but a precious ally in the creation of increasingly stimulating and oriented educational environments, promoting inclusiveness and learning, with a positive impact on teaching methodologies and school organisation.
In conclusion, the Erasmus+ project in Zagreb was much more than a training course; in fact, it represented an experience of personal and professional growth that opened new perspectives for the education of the future.
