Vaccination, the cornerstone of prevention

Hygiene, healthy lifestyle and vaccination are the cornerstones of infectious diseases prevention and control.

This month the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the European Union started. Risk groups among which health care workers are among the first to be vaccinated.  By so doing the health care workers as well as the patients they are taking care for are protected.

It is important to emphasize that vaccines that come to the market are safe and effective. Vaccination do have a personal and a social benefit and impact.

Social responsibility is the way to end the pandemic.

Today I got my vaccination in the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam.
